About
Konstantinos Bourvaris is a Greek jazz guitarist, composer and educator based in Graz, Austria. A graduate with honours from the Master’s programme in Jazz Guitar Performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, his playing is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, while his music embraces contemporary influences, strong melodic writing and an open approach to improvisation.
As a bandleader, he leads the quartet at the heart of his debut album, in between: Life, alongside several other projects. His artistic work is guided by melody, musical interaction and the pursuit of a distinctive contemporary sound.
Performance highlights include appearances with John Riley, Renato Chicco, Luis Bonilla, Stjepko Gut, Joe Fiedler and Dick Oatts, as well as performances at More Than Jazz in Udine, Italy, the B.P. Jazz is Back! Festival in Grožnjan, Croatia, and Jazz Werkstatt Graz in Austria. He has performed extensively across Austria, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.

With more than ten years of teaching experience, I adapt each lesson to the student’s musical interests, experience and personal goals—from the first steps on the instrument to advanced jazz studies.
